Take a moment and watch Negative Space.
It's a short animated film based on a 150-word poem by Ron Koertge that depicts a father-and-son relationship through the art of packing a suitcase.

Oh my goodness, take a look at this Seiko mod. It's a SNK809 with a Rolex Milgauss second hand and SKX013 dial. Not sure what case that is, maybe custom. Pretty cool little piece. Found on Barton Watch Bands Instagram.

Earlier this Spring, I stumbled across the work of Ben Strawn at an art & craft show. I absolutely love his work, and can't wait to get these up in my office.

Over the past year, I've been designing a new UI system and workflow for the entire online experience at Minted. It powers everything from the e-commerce flow, contact management, and SAAS products. Such a complex and rewarding problem to solve. We are slowly rolling it out to the site, but I'm very happy that Minted Wedding Websites is one of the first products to be rebuilt. This gave us the opportunity to clean up the experience a bit, and build in some big features our customers have always wanted. As the system matures, I have also been pleased to see the speed and efficiency it has brought to the design workflow. I'm excited to hear what our customers think about the changes, and look forward to continually improving their experience at Minted using this new system.

Time to get out and hit some ponds! I sure hope Lars likes fishing when he gets older.

I'm excited to see an update to The Pragmatic Programmer has been released for its 20th anniversary. This book has had a big impact on my thought processes throughout my career. The principals I learned from it, such as DRY, abstraction, reuse, and organization, are still ingrained in the methods I use to design Minted's component library.

Lars loves all of the flowers popping up this Spring.
